We navigate the VA system so veterans don't have to.
Veteran-specific case management. No cost. No gatekeeping. A direct path to stable housing.
The Homeless Veterans Initiative exists because veterans face barriers — PTSD, disconnection from civilian networks, complex VA eligibility — that no general housing program is staffed to address. We are.
Veteran-specific expertise, not general outreach.
Our case managers file benefits appeals and secure housing placements at the same time. The military service connection unlocks peer mentorship networks and employment pathways that generic services cannot reach.
Three funding sources. Zero cost to veterans.
Community Donations
State Housing Programs
Federal VA Resources
State-administered housing vouchers and rapid rehousing grants cover transitional placements and move-in costs for qualifying veterans.
HUD-VASH vouchers, SSVF grants, and VA benefits are accessed concurrently with housing placement — not after a waiting period.
Individual and corporate donors fund direct services: case manager hours, intake operations, and emergency placement costs.

People who know the system from the inside.
Our staff includes veterans, VA-accredited claims agents, and licensed social workers. They file appeals, coordinate housing, and stay on the case — no handoffs to a hotline.
